When a hive-minded sentient virus takes over the human race, Carol Sturka is one of a handful of people on the planet who seem immune to the blissful effects of this entity and must figure out how to save the human race.
The concept of a global invasion might sound familiar, but Gilligan’s execution and Rhea Seehorn’s complex performance make it feel fresh, unique, and genuinely hard to stop watching.
why pluribus is worth watching
Pluribus starts slowly, coaxing you in with a sci-fi mystery, but quickly (at around the 14-minute mark) builds into a much bigger, more intense story with incredibly high stakes.
With its thought-provoking story, slow, deliberate pacing, sharp writing, and a strong performance from Rhea Seahorn, and strong critical reception, Pluribus definitely feels like another Vince Gilligan banger in the making.
If you enjoy smart, emotional character-driven sci-fi, you’re going to want to hop on the hype-train ASAP!
Where to Watch 'Pluribus' — US & UK
If you’re wondering where to watch Pluribus, you can find it on Apple TV+ in both the UK and the US. The series premiered with its first two episodes on Friday, 7th November, with new episodes dropping every Friday.
The first couple of episodes are about an hour long, with the third (released Friday 14th November) coming in at around 43 minutes.
